Mahodand Lake Boat Ride: Timings, Cost and Safety in 2026

Small wooden boats operate at the main bank of Mahodand Lake during the season, run by local cooperatives. The ride covers a portion of the lake, takes 15 to 25 minutes depending on water conditions, and is one of the most popular activities for first-time visitors and families. Boats hold 4 to 8 passengers.

Boating operates roughly from late May through October when the jeep track is open and weather allows. Daily operating hours are typically 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. Mornings are calmer with glassier water; afternoons can have stronger winds and choppier conditions. Cloudy or rainy weather may pause operations briefly.
