BarSwat

Three days is the most popular trip length for Swat. This itinerary balances mountains, lakes, history and food, and is realistic for travel by private car or rented Hiace.
Morning: Leave Islamabad by 7 AM. Take M-1 → M-16 Swat Motorway. Reach Mingora by noon.
Lunch: Try chapli kabab at Saleem Khan Hotel or Sheraton Restaurant in Mingora.
Afternoon: Visit Swat Museum and Butkara Stupa. Then drive to Marghuzar to see the White Palace (40 minutes from Mingora).
Evening: Return to Mingora for dinner at Mughal Biryani or Cheese Please. Stay overnight in Mingora or drive to Fizagat.
Morning: Drive to Malam Jabba (1.5 hours). Enjoy cable car, zip line and chair lift at the ski resort.
Lunch: At Pearl Continental Malam Jabba or one of the resort restaurants.
Afternoon: Drive to Bahrain (3 hours). Stop at Madyan bazaar for shawls and handicrafts.
Evening: Arrive in Kalam by 6 PM. Walk along the Swat River. Dinner at Hilton Palace Kalam or Pine Park.
Stay: Kalam (Rock City Resort, Florid Hotel, or Hilton Palace).
Morning: Hire a 4x4 jeep in Kalam for Mahodand Lake. The 35 km track takes 2 hours each way through Ushu Forest.
Spend 2-3 hours at the lake — boat ride, fishing, picnic.
Lunch: Picnic at the lake or back in Kalam at the Rock City Resort restaurant.
Afternoon: Drive back to Mingora (3.5 hours).
Evening: Return to Islamabad on M-16 (4 hours), or stay overnight in Mingora and drive next morning.
Not comfortably. Malam Jabba and Kalam are 4 hours apart by road. Stay overnight at Malam Jabba or in Bahrain to break the journey.
It covers the highlights but feels rushed. If you can spare 5 days, you can also visit Miandam, Gabral and Utror.
