Five days lets you slow down and actually enjoy Swat — not just rush from photo stop to photo stop. This itinerary is ideal for families, honeymooners and photographers who want quality time at each place.
Drive from Islamabad. Lunch at Mingora. Afternoon at Swat Museum + Butkara Stupa. Evening drive to Marghuzar (40 min). Stay at White Palace Hotel.
Drive to Malam Jabba (1.5 hours). Cable car, zip line, lunch. Stay overnight at Pearl Continental Malam Jabba or LeGrand Hotel.
Stop in Madyan bazaar for shawls. Reach Kalam by afternoon. Walk along the river. Dinner in Kalam.
Full-day jeep trip. Lake boating, picnic at Ushu Forest. Return to Kalam for dinner.
Half-day jeep to Gabral or Utror valleys. Return to Mingora by evening or drive straight to Islamabad.
Not necessary. A normal car or Hiace handles Mingora-Kalam fine. Hire a 4x4 only for Mahodand, Gabral and Utror.
